I went for another run yesterday, my 5th in 7 days. I knew from the start that it was going to be tough. My muscles were tense and my whole body was screaming – “stop running”. 10 minutes in I came across a pedestrian overpass on my route and decided to run stairs instead. Sometimes all I need is to break up my routine, which could mean running intervals or sprints on the track, but today it was stairs. I always feel such a sense of accomplishment when I run stairs, especially when it gets to the point where my legs and ass feel like jello. Hopefully I’m not too sore tomorrow!
